Mara has been delivering Automotive Training with its highly qualified and experienced team in the Manawatu, Horowhenua and Wanganui regions since 1999.
We are a fully NZQA accredited, well-established private training organisation with automotive training as our core business. Mara only employs "A" grade technicians with a wide range of automotive experience — with over 280 years combined experience in all facets of the motor industry. Mara prides itself on its high job success rate within the automotive and related trades.
Mara and Courtesy Ford offer a range of courses for young and old. Mara prides itself on caring and going the extra mile for students, assisting with finding work experience or job placements — we get outcomes.
Students progress is monitored with our "Student Pathway" plans. These are done one-on-one with the student and their tutor every month. This is a great motivation tool to set their goals and objectives. Students who are slipping behind on their work are caught before it's too late and are encouraged to come in on their self-directed learning day to have some tutoring to catch up. The students are assessed before starting the course (an interview) and their reading and assessed. If needed, students can have one-on-one assistance with a numeracy and literacy tutor.
