Automotive Engineering Level 3

New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Engineering Level 3, NZQA # 3097

This qualification can lead to employment as an Apprentice in an automotive or allied trade.

The overall aim of the programme is to equip you with the necessary capabilities to enable you to make a significant contribution to both the Automotive and Allied Industries.

When you have completed this course you will be able to carry out routine repairs and maintenance on light vehicles.

You will be able to carry out these duties with minimal supervision in a workshop.

  • Duration: Up to 40 weeks depending on prior learning. 121 Credits
  • Times: Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 4.00pm
  • Prerequisites: Prior study in Automotive subjects or successful completion of a relevant programme.
  • Age: 16 to 19 years old (15 year olds may be eligible, conditions apply)
  • Cost: Fees free, free boots, overalls and books provided

Student Living Allowance may be available (conditions apply)
